Toronto-based Equitable Bank has expanded access to its reverse mortgage by partnering with a credit union in British Columbia.

The bank’s reverse mortgage will be available to eligible members of Surrey, B.C.–based Coast Capital Savings Federal Credit Union, Equitable Bank said in a release on Friday.

Equitable Bank’s reverse mortgage allows qualifying homeowners over the age of 55 to access up to 55% of their home’s value.
