Many Republicans may not have accepted the results of the U.S. election yet, but the U.S. securities industry has now acknowledged reality.
Industry trade group, the U.S. Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA), issued a statement congratulating president-elect, Joe Biden, on his electoral victory.
“We look forward to working with his administration on issues that enhance our capital markets, help stimulate economic growth and create jobs,” said SIFMA president and CEO, Kenneth Bentsen Jr., in a statement.
Bentsen Jr. also congratulated Biden’s running mate, Kamala Harris, calling her election as the first woman, African-American and Indian-American vice-president in the U.S., “a historic milestone for our nation.”
